Join our team as a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, where you will assist in preparing customized non-sterile medications. Your responsibilities will include precise adherence to pharmaceutical standards and regulations, assistance in managing inventory for compounded products, and some traditional pharmacy technician duties.
Duties
- Prepare non-sterile compounded medications with proper compounding procedures as outlined in USP 795 and 800
- Accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages and concentrations for each prescription
- Operate pharmacy software systems for data entry, prescription processing, and inventory management
- Maintain compliance with all pharmaceutical regulatory standards, including drug regulation laws and state healthcare regulations
- Assist with medication intake, labeling, packaging, and documentation to ensure accuracy and patient safety
- Uphold patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive medical information and medication records
Requirements
- Prior experience as a compounding pharmacy technician, whether sterile or non-sterile.
- Current Arkansas pharmacy technician license
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations
- A strong understanding of USP 795 and USP 800
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and data entry protocols
- Excellent patient service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
