MS/HS Assistant Principal (Grades 6–12)
Location: Bryan Middle and High School
District: Bryan City Schools - Bryan, Ohio
Position Summary
Bryan City Schools is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Middle/High School Assistant Principal to serve Grades 6–12 at Bryan Middle and High School. This shared leadership position supports instructional excellence, student achievement, school climate, and operational effectiveness across the middle and high school grade levels. The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with building principals, teachers, staff, students, and families to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership
Support curriculum implementation and instructional best practices for grades 6–12
Assist with classroom observations and teacher evaluations, teacher feedback, and professional development
Use data to support student achievement and school improvement initiatives
Focus on building scheduling (master schedule, testing schedules) and day to day management
Student Support & School Climate
Assist with student discipline, attendance, and behavior management
Promote positive school culture, social-emotional learning, and positive behavior initiatives
Support intervention strategies for academic and behavioral needs
Operational & Administrative Duties
Assist with daily school operations, supervision, and scheduling
Support safety procedures, emergency planning, and crisis response
Collaborate on state and district compliance, reporting, and assessments
Family & Community Engagement
Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and community members
Support family engagement and partnerships that enhance student success
Qualifications
Required
Valid Ohio Principal License (or ability to obtain)
Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field
Successful teaching/administrative experience at the middle and/or high school level
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Administrative experience at the middle or high school level
Experience with grades 6–12 student development
Knowledge of Ohio education standards and accountability systems

Position Type: Full-time, Administrative (215 Day Contract)
