MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. MVR report must show 'clean' driving record. No DUIs or DWIs as we cannot put you on our insurance as a driver. MUST have your own tools. MUST HAVE reliable transportation to and from work.
Keep trucks and heavy equipment ready for safe, dependable work as a Truck/Heavy Duty Technician. You’ll inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel vehicles and equipment, using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify issues and complete repairs.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, suspension, shocks and struts, alignments, tires, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Maintain and repair vehicle systems, automotive electrical systems, hydraulics, and other mechanical systems on heavy trucks, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment.
- Service equipment such as excavators, tractors, and Caterpillar machinery; perform equipment maintenance and repair.
Requirements
- Mechanic experience and mechanical knowledge, including diesel mechanics, diesel engine repair, heavy truck repair, heavy equipment mechanics, vehicle maintenance, brake repair, and automotive repair.
- Experience with diagnostics, electrical experience, hydraulics, transmissions, alignment, and vehicle systems is required.
- Familiarity with dealership trucks, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy equipment operation is required.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools and safely perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting.
