What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLERICAL position at Brunswick Hospital Center?
Position: Provides administrative support in an office administrative/clerical setting to the IT department. Maintains, assists, and performs day-to-day functions and tasks to assist the IT department. Must maintain high level of confidentiality due to the sensitive information of daily tasks being performed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform clerical functions including but not limited to:
- Alpha and/or numeric sorting and filing.
- Photocopying, scanning, etc.
- Answer telephones, take and distribute messages
- Responsible for policy and procedure updates
- Maintains scheduling for Department staff members
- Processes and distributes memos in timely manner
- Keep up to date with changes in IT
- Ensure compliance with procedures
- Perform other related duties or tasks as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc).
Required Qualifications:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills
- Customer-Oriented communication skillset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare/hospital environment
- Responsibilities:
- Enter and update data into the systems with high accuracy
- Running various reports
- Open support cases and follow up with the vendors as needed
- Skills:
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Preferred Qualification:
- Familiarity with healthcare software
