A Social Work Program Support Specialist works with both children and adult services staff in a supportive role by coordinating and facilitating Child and Family Team Meetings, completing case reviews, providing feedback on the findings of reviews, and helping to ensure the agency is following state and federal guidelines. Job responsibilities include: Coordinating and facilitating Child and Family Team meetings that involve agency staff, families working with the department, family support systems, and community partnersCompleting case reviews on child welfare and adult services Gathering and preparing cases for State and Federal reviewsAssisting with completing background checks, organizing cases, scanning information, and supporting adult and children services programs as neededKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of child welfare policies and legal mandatesKnowledge of adult services policies and legal mandatesKnowledge of social work, practices, and principlesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteCommunication skillsOrganizational skillsCritical thinking skillsMust be available to work after normal business hours and during emergency situations.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Must be physically able to operate a variety of office equipment. Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pound of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
