Business Systems Analyst

BRUNSWICK BOWLING PRODUCTS LLC
Muskegon, MI Full Time
POSTED ON 4/23/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/23/2026

General Information:

Brunswick Bowling Products, an iconic brand in sports and recreation, is looking for a dynamic Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our team in Muskegon, MI.  We are in the early stages of a multi-year systems transformation that provides a great opportunity to learn and grow as we touch every business process across our global enterprise.

Brunswick Bowling markets a full lineup of products and services to a global customer base.  From shoes to lighting shows, software subscriptions to custom furniture, Brunswick Bowling’s depth and breadth us unmatched.  Brunswick Bowling is privately held with operations in the USA, Mexico, Hungary, and a significant sales and service remote workforce.  Our benefits are very competitive including 401(K) matching, profit sharing, bonus plan, and health insurance.  Come join us!

Job Summary:

The BSA position is a multi-dimensional role, working with people, processes, data, and software to drive optimal business performance.  Unlike this role at some firms, the Brunswick Bowling BSA facilitates processes across all business functions. This role reports to the IT Applications Manager.

Brunswick Bowling is in the early stages of a multi-year initiative to modernize its business systems.  While stable and steady, our current systems are challenged to capitalize on market opportunities that require greater agility and inter-operability.  We are migrating a significant portion of our processes to the IFS Cloud platform – a modern, scalable, extendible ERP system.  We need a dynamic BSA that wants to be part of this journey from the beginning.

The Business System Analyst will also assist with change management including technical documentation, business process documentation, and training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Business System Analyst will work with business process owners and subject matter experts to identify areas for improvement, automation, or optimization.  They will enumerate options, facilitate decisions, and set forth plans to accomplish project goals.  This is completed through a combination of process and technical analysis which includes:

  • Defining current state of process and desired future state of process.
  • Identifying and prioritizing requirements and use cases.
  • Developing conceptual designs or prototypes that demonstrate both technical design and business function.
  • Organizing work into manageable units that can be used to execute the project alone or with peers.
  • Collaborate with teammates throughout the organization to ensure the successful delivery of projects, including testing, rollout, and post-go-live support.
  • On-going systems support, including rotational on-call responsibilities.
  • Must uphold the highest standards of confidentiality with regard to business data, employee information, and proprietary systems.
Qualifications:

At least three years’ experience as a systems or business analyst in a manufacturing and distribution environment.  Specific skills include:

  • Modeling as-is and to-be processes using simple flow charts, sample data, and descriptive language.  This includes the ability to whiteboard ideas with small teams.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and structured query language (SQL).
  • Some experience with the OpenAPI framework.
  • Experience using a business intelligence tool like SAP Business Objects, Tableau, or PowerBI to generate dashboards or reports.
  • Exposure to an ETL tool, either cloud based like AWS Glue, or on premise like IBM DataStage or Informatica.
  • Ability to lead small teams in problem solving exercises.
  • Proficient technical and user-facing writing skills.  The BSA should be able to capture information about how systems behave, the meaning of database fields, and user facing guidelines or training materials.  Video based approaches are also welcome like screen capture and narration using something like Vimeo or Microsoft Stream.
  • Strong critical reasoning skills.
  • Experience with AS400/iSeries based ERP, SAP Business Objects, or Lotus Notes is a bonus.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or a related discipline that demonstrates detailed and systemic logical reasoning.  Business related degrees considered if sufficient technical experience demonstrated.
