Full-Time Veterinary Assistant

Brunswick Animal Hospital, a busy six-doctor small animal practice, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. If you love working with animals, enjoy connecting with clients, and want to grow your skills in veterinary medicine, we would love to meet you!
- Schedule
Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:30 PM
One weekday off each week
Every other Saturday: 7:45 AM – 12:30 PM
Hospital Hours:
Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sat: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Compensation
$15 – $18 per hour, depending on experience
What You’ll Do
Provide excellent communication and client service
Run exam rooms: gather patient history, discuss vaccines, triage, review preventive care
Explain core vs. lifestyle vaccines and vaccine protocols
Assist with sample collection, treatments, and restraint
Perform or assist with venipuncture (training provided)
Understand medical terminology, medications, preventatives, and early-detection bloodwork

Training & Support
