Brake Shoe Heat Treat Operator 1st shift

Position Purpose:

Responsible for heat-treating brake shoes.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.25 - $20.35

Essential Functions:

• Manually loads parts into the fixture and verifies quality of parts
• Maintain Environmental, Health & Safety standards in the workplace
• Always keep work area clean
• Work in a safe manner always
• Other job duties may be assigned by supervisor

Education and Training:

• High School Diploma or GED

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Ability to work well with others

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 15lbs repeatedly at shoulder height or above
• Must be able stand continuously for 8 -12 hrs
• Ability to bend, twist and lift repetitively
• Demonstrates dependability and adherence to all safety rules and regulations

Environmental Conditions:

• Ear and Eye protection is always required in production areas
• Exposure to noisy work environment
• Exposure to hot steel
• Exposure to fumes
• Exposure to hot and humid conditions
• Exposure to welding arc
• Exposure to coolants, oils, grease and water
• Steel toe boots with metatarsal guards are required at all times
