About the Role:
• Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems
• Operation Monitoring — watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine are working properly.
• Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Monitoring — Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
• Controlling Machines and Processes — using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).
• Getting Information — observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
• Watch - operating equipment to detect malfunction
• Inspect Drill Steel Rods to ensure process is complete.
• Grinding – Individual parts on a grinding wheel
In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Familiarity with hand tools and grinding equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification in machining or a related field.
- Experience with CNC machines and programming.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate grinding machines to produce precision metal parts according to specifications.
- Deburr and trim metal components using hand tools and CNC machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, to ensure accuracy in dimensions.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any production issues.
Skills:
The required skills for this position, such as deburring and precision measuring, are utilized daily to ensure that all metal components meet the necessary specifications. Proficiency with hand tools and table saws is essential for trimming and shaping materials accurately. The ability to read blueprints is crucial, as it allows the grinder to understand the exact requirements for each project. Experience with CNC machines enhances efficiency and precision in the manufacturing process. Overall, these skills contribute to the production of high-quality parts that are vital to our operations.
