PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The USES category for this position is moderate to heavy. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, as well as talk and hear. Will frequently manipulate parts weighing up to 50 lbs. with the aid of material handling equipment and/or assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. Requires manual dexterity and continued use of both hands, use of hand tools, power tools and related equipment. Must be able to bend or twist their body and repeating the same movements during their shift. Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods at a time.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to working plant machinery, overhead machinery and heavy moving parts. Work environment is an indoor industrial manufacturing plant working in close proximity to hot presses, with open gas burners, ovens, and heated steel stock/parts. The temperature in work area can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the work year. Sharp steel filings and shaving can be found in most work areas. Adequate protective gear is required at all times to avoid injury. Moderate-to-high noise is constant throughout the shift.
