Position Summary
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Schaumburg office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney with 3–5 years of litigation experience to take on substantive case responsibility, work directly with clients, and grow within a firm that values mentorship and professional development.
What You'll Do
- Manage an active caseload across multiple practice areas, with the opportunity to develop subject-matter focus over time
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement documents
- Conduct depositions, hearings, and court appearances throughout McHenry County and surrounding counties
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Collaborate with firm attorneys and staff on case strategy
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Illinois, in good standing
- 3–5 years of civil litigation experience (family law, real estate, personal injury, or general civil litigation background preferred)
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating well within a team
- Excellent client communication skills and professional judgment
