Apartment Maintenance Technician
Ashley Park Apartments is looking for a dependable, hardworking Maintenance Technician to join our team. We are seeking someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. This is a full-time, hands-on position responsible for helping maintain apartment homes, common areas, and the overall appearance of our community.
Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with preparing apartments for new residents, including repairs and cleaning.
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and appliance repairs.
- Replace light fixtures, ballasts, switches, outlets, locks, and other hardware.
- Help maintain the grounds and common areas of the property.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and assist with larger repair projects.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, construction, landscaping, automotive, or handyman experience is a plus, but not required.
- Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Friendly and professional when interacting with residents.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Occasional after-hours emergency calls may be required.
Pay
$13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on experience.
