What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Facilities Engineer position at Brunel?
One of Brunel's major oil and gas clients is currently looking for a Topsides Facilities Engineer at their headquarters. This would be a 1-year contract to start with, benefits provided. The role would involve some travel to African Assets.
•Multi-discipline offshore topsides engineering experience, to be able to:
• Lead and support the review of all topsides engineering deliverables, including but not limited to:
o Equipment datasheets and specifications
o Multidisciplinary layouts (mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, instrumentation)
o Equipment lists and tagging consistency
o Vendor documents for key packages (skids, EPU, EJBs, TUTA, ROS, etc.)
• Coordinate with Business Unit, Operations, HSE, and other stakeholders to ensure all operational, safety, and maintenance considerations are incorporated into the design.
• Ensure all interfaces (process, electrical, instrumentation, controls, structural, subsea, and existing facilities) are clearly identified, addressed, and closed out.
• Support resolution of technical queries, design deviations, and interface issues with the EPCI contractor and vendors.
• Verify compliance with project specifications, hazardous area classification, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify risks, and support mitigation measures to avoid delays or redesigns.

• Project or package management experience in an offshore environment
• Experience supporting offshore African assets
• Experience supporting interface management with multiple large EPC contractors
