Brunel is hiring Field Production Technicians to support field operations in the Permian Basin. This role is focused on production support, well monitoring, equipment troubleshooting, and process optimization across oil, gas, and water systems. It's a field-based position supporting daily operations and working closely with engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain stable production from wells
- Support operation of pumping systems, including ESP and PCP
- Perform well testing and fluid sampling, including BSW analysis
- Monitor surface and downhole variables and report deviations
- Troubleshoot production issues and support corrective actions
- Assist with maintenance planning to reduce downtime and deferred production
- Support water injection and disposal systems
- Operate and monitor compressors and related equipment
- Perform pressure testing, leak detection, and system checks
- Support installation and calibration of instruments and control systems
- Work with PLC and VFD systems in field operations
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including work permits
- Maintain accurate daily production and operations reports
Required Qualifications
- Experience in oil and gas field operations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with well operations and production equipment
- Basic instrumentation and electrical knowledge
- Experience with field safety procedures and work permits
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to work onsite in Midland, TX
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in I&E (Instrumentation and Electrical)
- Experience with water injection, SWD, or frac water systems
- Experience in manufacturing or chemical plant environments
- Knowledge of process control and production optimization
- Familiarity with PIPESIM or similar tools
- Candidates with strong SWD or water management experience
