Overview
Brunel is looking for a seasoned Execution Planner with strong technical depth and hands-on construction experience to support complex Brownfield Gas Plant projects. This position plays a key role in developing, coordinating, and maintaining project schedules to drive efficient, on-time, and on-budget execution.
Primary Duties
- Create, update, and manage comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 and other recognized planning tools.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure full schedule integration across all project stages.
- Track schedule performance, identify deviations, and recommend corrective measures to maintain timelines.
- Support development and evaluation of schedule recovery strategies, including assessing resource and cost impacts.
- Develop and manage the Owner’s Integrated Schedule (OIS), ensuring consistency and alignment among stakeholders.
- Produce resource-loaded schedules to maximize workforce and equipment efficiency.
- Perform schedule analyses to improve forecasting accuracy, resource planning, and overall project execution.
- Deliver schedule updates, progress reports, and forecast summaries to project leadership and partners.
- Provide data-driven insights to support continuous improvement in project delivery, productivity, and schedule adherence.
- Ensure all scheduling activities meet project deadlines, internal standards, and established safety and quality expectations.
Required Technical Background
- Demonstrated experience building schedules specifically for Brownfield Gas Plant projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- Earthworks and civil construction
- Drilling operations
- Pipeline construction and installation
- Electrical and instrumentation scopes
- Strong grasp of construction sequencing, duration development, and resource planning across multiple disciplines.
- Proficiency with planning software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project; solid understanding of CPM scheduling principles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- At least 10 years of experience in project controls or planning/scheduling within oil & gas or heavy industrial environments.
- Strong analytical, time-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings and manage several tasks simultaneously.
