Mobile Equipment Supervisor

BRT Extrusions, located in Niles, OH, is looking for a Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to join
our expanding maintenance department. The Mobile Equipment Supervisor will work a shift and
supervise a small group of maintenance technicians to ensure production and quality by keeping our
mobile equipment in working condition.
BRT is a growing aluminum extrusions company, and as we grow, our employees will grow as well.
This position will have a competitive wage based on experience. Individuals in this role will be paid
hourly-bi-weekly and are eligible for OT.

Essential duties of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor:

• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities of the technicians on the shift.
• Supervise technicians on the shift and handle any performance or behavioral challenges.
• Performance Manage to monitor/improve technician repair quality and productivity.
• Make repairs as needed and as scheduled to meet all repair deadlines of the team.
• Recommend modifications to eliminate equipment or system malfunctions or to improve safety, quality, or equipment operating parameters.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Conduct safety training for crew on shift as needed and ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules and regulations.
• Complete all appropriate reporting to track mechanic/technician performance and equipment updates and repairs.

Requirements of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor:

• At least 2 years in a supervisory role
• At least 2 years of Automotive/ heavy equipment experience is required.
• 2 years’ experience in maintenance manufacturing setting is required.
• Must be willing to work 10 hour shifts and weekends if needed.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings is a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills as demonstrated through ongoing performance management of team.
• Must be willing to participate in all required job and or employment related trainings. This includes but is not limited to all safety and technical or role or tool specific trainings.

Physical requirements of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor:
This position requires the individual to work in a factory/manufacturing environment. The temperatures
can fluctuate from hot to cold and noise level is high. An individual in this role will be able to walk,
bend, stoop, twist, turn and climb frequently. With proper safety equipment, an individual in this role
may work above ground level (off the ground) for long periods of time. An individual in this role will
need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move
50lbs frequently and up to 75lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will be an effective
communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read and follow written
procedures in English.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED required
Maintenance training & education preferred
