We are SpecPro Sustainment and Environmental, LLC (SSE), an environmental solutions firm supporting several military installations across the nation. We are seeking a GIS Analyst to support our ongoing mission at Ft. Hood, TX.
The GIS Analyst will deliver enterprise-level GIS support using the ESRI ArcGIS platform. Services include creation and maintenance of geospatial data layers for utilities, facilities, land use, and infrastructure assets, enabling informed decision-making and resource management.

The GIS Analyst will deliver enterprise-level GIS support using the ESRI ArcGIS platform. Services include creation and maintenance of geospatial data layers for utilities, facilities, land use, and infrastructure assets, enabling informed decision-making and resource management.
What You’ll Do: (5-8 Responsibilities)
- Collect, process, analyze, and maintain Fort Hood mapping data utilizing specialized software conducting field verification and data collection through the entire footprint of Fort Hood, ensuring that all real property owned assets are accounted for.
- Manage over 100,000 data-points of real-property on Fort Hood.
- Implements GIS analysis and cartography to support the highly technical requirements of the Fort Hood Department of Public Works (DPW) Work Management Branch and DPW Engineering Branch.
- Support the Installation Geospatial Information & Services (IGI&S) design, implementation, quality control, and functionality.
- Utilizing the Spatial Data Engine (SDE), all GIS analysts work independently in the ESRI ArcGIS Pro software to create, edit, maintain, and store at least 45 datasets, with over 50,000 editable records.
- Responsible for all GIS requests and needs of DPW. This includes map creation, field verification, creating custom maps for customers, and enhancing the capabilities of agencies throughout Fort Hood, including III Corps, DPW, Real Property, and Environmental departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS related field or equivalent is preferred.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in ESRI ArcGIS Pro software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of capturing and digitizing data with a GPS system.
- Experience in cartography and map making.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to take initiative and willing to learn.
