What are the responsibilities and job description for the Computer Operator V (SAAS II) position at BRS?
Vista Defense Technologies is currently seeking a Computer System Support Specialist I to work in Southport, NC.
- Will perform ammunitions supply stock control and accounting responsibilities using both automated and manual procedures.
- Using the Standard Ammunition and Accounting System computer hardware and software and utilizing manual records to perform stock control and accounting procedures for ammunition, explosives and associated explosive components.
- Perform the receipt, shipment, and intra depot transfers of ammunition and explosives.
- Work with Inventory Specialist to maintain 100% accountability of ammunition and explosives during maintenance cycle operations.
- Verify accuracy of documentation provided by Inventory Specialists. Create radio frequency identification system tags, input data, and create applicable reports.
- Upload and download automated data processing equipment. Create documentation for DoD Multimodal Dangerous Goods Declaration forms. Communicates with management on a daily basis, responding to all oral and written requests.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 2 years of college or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook a must.
- 4 years minimum experience in ammunition/supply field (Preferred)
- Experience in inventory/accountability discipline
- Military veteran with ammunition/supply background (Preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Familiar with AIT and RFID Technologies
- Work calmly under stress
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to US Military installation
