Job Title: Cemetery Sales & Marketing Specialist
Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 / hour plus commission.
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, driven Cemetery Sales & Marketing Specialist to lead outreach efforts, build community relationships, and drive sales for our cemetery properties and memorial products. In this role, you will develop both pre-need (advance planning) and at-need marketing strategies that raise brand awareness with empathy, respect, and professionalism. The ideal candidate balances tactical marketing execution with genuine personal connection to support families in making meaningful memorial choices.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy & Lead Generation
- Design and execute multichannel marketing campaigns (direct mail, print, and local print ads) to generate qualified pre-need leads.
- Generate new leads through outbound cold and warm calling.
- Plan, organize, and host community events, educational seminars (e.g., estate and funeral pre-planning workshops), and memorial services.
- Community Outreach & Business Development
- Establish and cultivate relationships with local hospice centers, funeral homes, religious institutions, estate planners, and senior centers.
- Develop informative marketing collateral, brochures, and presentations for prospective clients.
- Consultative Sales & Client Support
- Conduct compassionate, consultative presentations to families purchasing burial plots, mausoleum crypts, cremation niches, and custom monuments.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping of marketing leads, family interactions, and sales metrics within the CRM system.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Face to face customer service experience.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong active listening capabilities.
- Sensitivity & Ethics: High emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to navigate delicate, emotionally sensitive conversations with dignity.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
