Job Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities: Garden Center Team Member
This role is integral to the smooth operation of our garden center, encompassing inventory management, customer education, service, and team support.
Inventory & Logistics
- Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to receive and process incoming plant orders from various vendors.
- Assist in tagging, merchandising, and ensuring the accurate counting and maintenance of plant inventory.
- Support the preparation, pulling, and loading of customer orders for delivery.
Plant Knowledge & Education
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our selection of plants, trees, and garden supplies.
- Educate customers on proper plant care, maintenance, and offer creative landscaping and gardening advice.
- Guide customers in selecting the best plants to meet their specific needs.
Customer & Team Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively answering questions and offering assistance.
- Help customers and fellow team members with loading plant materials.
- Participate in a small team to execute minor plant installations for customers.
Team Support & Operations
- Foster a collaborative and efficient environment by working closely with all team members.
- Assist with general garden center tasks as needed, including plant watering, care, and merchandising displays.
- Contribute positively to the overall success and operations of the garden center.
