Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of residential rental units. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and handling a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure resident satisfaction and property standards are met. The position requires availability for after-hours on-call duties with additional compensation.
Responsibilities
- Perform vacancy make ready repairs.
- Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance to ensure proper operation of fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems.
- Conduct minor electrical work including troubleshooting, repairs, and installations to maintain safe and functional electrical systems.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various repair and maintenance tasks across the property.
- Carry out carpentry projects such as door repairs, cabinetry, framing, and other building interior maintenance needs.
- Address interior building maintenance issues promptly to uphold property standards.
- Work independently to diagnose problems, prioritize tasks, and complete repairs efficiently.
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotations to respond to emergency maintenance requests outside regular working hours.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general building interior maintenance.
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Availability for after-hours on-call work with willingness to respond promptly to emergencies.
- Prior experience in residential property maintenance or a similar role is preferred but not required.
