Brownstein’s government relations team offers comprehensive services before Congress, federal agencies and regulatory bodies, as well as at state and local levels throughout the country.
Our Washington D.C. office is seeking a self-starting Policy Advisor to join our dynamic Government Relations team. The ideal candidate should have at least three years of legislative experience working on Capitol Hill or a relevant federal agency. Said experience must have a focus on technology or telecommunications work. This candidate will also have a deep understanding of legislative and political processes as well as established relationships and experience working at the federal level with relevant staff and law makers.
Responsibilities include tracking various legislative and regulatory issues, preparing client deliverables, and managing clients. Successful candidates will have outstanding writing skills, strong organizational skills, should demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and balance a multitude of simultaneous competing priorities and excellent research and analytical skills. Additionally, candidates should have solid political awareness, leadership experience, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative manner. The ability to engage clients and government officials in a mature, professional manner is also critical.

Compensation: Salary will range between $130,000 and $160,000, depending on experience. A discretionary bonus may also be available based on performance.
