What are the responsibilities and job description for the Specialized Assistant position at BROWNS RIVER MIDDLE SCHOO?
Browns River Middle School is seeking a full-time, energetic and caring Specialized Assistant to work with middle school students. The successful candidate will support a variety of students with their academic goals in classes and study halls and perform some supervisory duties. In addition, the Specialized Assistant will provide assistance to special educators and classroom teachers and perform a variety of supportive activities with a diverse population of students. These individuals must enjoy working as part of a creative and hard-working team of both general classroom educators and special educators.
Qualified candidates should enjoy working with and engaging with students, have the ability to communicate effectively and work independently. Strengths must include the ability to build and foster positive rapport with students, families, and colleagues. Candidates must be reliable, have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand and/or walk for extended periods of time to support students.
