Facilities Staff

The employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our school building and grounds. The employee will have strong attention to detail, knowledge of safety protocols, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other school areas
• Maintain the safety and cleanliness of school grounds, including snow removal as needed
• Perform minor repairs and notify maintenance staff of larger issues
• Restock supplies of soap, paper towels, and other essentials
• Set up classrooms and event spaces as required
• Follow all safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Immediately report any safety hazards, such as spills or broken glass, and take initial steps to secure the area
• Participate in safety training and drills, such as fire and lockdown drills
• Secure the school building at the end of the day, locking doors and setting alarms as necessary
• Stay updated on the latest cleaning and disinfecting best practices for schools
• Snow Removal

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a custodial or janitorial role
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical safety and proper use of equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Attention to detail to maintain a safe and clean environment
• Reliable and able to work independently
• High school diploma or equivalent
