What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Automotive Service Technician | Ford & CDJR | Brown’s West Branch position at Brown's Sales and Leasing?
Brown’s West Branch has officially opened our brand-new, consolidated facility, bringing our Ford and CDJR operations together under one modern roof. With expanded bays, dedicated diagnostic equipment, and high service drive volume, we are actively hiring Experienced Automotive Service Technicians (B-Level, A-Level, or Master Certified) specializing in either Ford or CDJR platforms.
You do not need credentials in both brands. Whether your expertise is dialed into Ford powertrains or you know Stellantis electrical architecture inside and out, we have dedicated bays, specialized factory tooling, and consistent work ready for you. If you are tired of cramped bays, broken equipment, or inconsistent dispatching, this is your opportunity to step into a clean, modern shop built to maximize your flag hours.
The Right Fit
We look for career builders, not shop-hoppers. We invest heavily in our technical team through continuous factory training, brand-new shop equipment, and clear earning potential. In return, we expect a solid track record of reliability, diagnostic accuracy, and pride in workmanship.
If your resume shows a new employer every few months, this is not the right fit. We want seasoned technicians who take pride in fixing it right the first time and want a stable, high-earning home for the long haul.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Repair: Perform complex mechanical, electrical, drivability, powertrain, or heavy line repairs within your brand specialty (Ford or CDJR).
- Accuracy & Efficiency: Execute repairs strictly to OEM technical standards while maintaining high flat-rate efficiency and low comeback rates.
- Workflow & Documentation: Clearly document diagnostic steps, root causes, and corrections on repair orders. Accurately call out required parts to ensure fast turnaround.
- Advisor Communication: Partner directly with Service Advisors to clearly explain technical findings, helping our team present transparent repair recommendations to guests.
- OEM Advancement: Maintain your current brand certifications and take advantage of paid ongoing training to reach senior or master status. Cross-brand training is available for those interested, but never required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional automotive repair experience in a dealership or high-volume independent shop.
- Proven proficiency in complex diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, engine repair, or transmission and driveline service on Ford or CDJR vehicles.
- Factory certifications in either Ford or Stellantis (CDJR) strongly preferred. ASE certifications are a strong plus.
- Complete set of professional tools appropriate for advanced diagnostic and mechanical repair.
- Demonstrated history of workplace stability and strong attendance.
- Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Willingness to complete pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
