Role Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will take ownership of core accounting operations — including month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting — while serving as a key liaison to external auditors. The ideal candidate brings 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, a strong command of US GAAP, and the ability to operate with a high degree of independence in a fast-paced environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Close & Reporting
- Own the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and prepaids
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform flux analysis and trend analysis on income statement accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and subledgers; investigate and resolve variances
Technical Accounting
- Apply relevant ASC standards to ensure accurate accounting treatment across transactions
- Maintain fixed asset records and related reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and regulatory reports, including sales tax and 401(k)
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Audit & Compliance
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors during financial statement, sales tax, and 401(k) audits
- Prepare audit schedules and provide supporting documentation in a timely and organized manner
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with internal departments to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting
- Assist with annual physical inventory
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and other duties as needed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CPA candidacy preferred
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or operationally complex environment
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core ASC standards
- Demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency; experience with ERP systems required — Microsoft Dynamics Business Central a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
