BMG’s Beaverton, MI site has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Assembler to join our team! In this role, you will bring our thermoforming machines to life—wiring motors, safety switches, devices, and high/low-voltage panels to power complex, custom-built equipment. You'll have the opportunity to wire a complete machine to any required voltage, amperage, or hertz.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 1 year's related experience in electrical or HVAC preferred.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Familiarity with electrician hand tools, electrical wire, power tools, motors, test meters, control units, transformers, conduit, cables, outlet and junction boxes.
- Able to work an off-shift preferred. (M-Th 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive job assignment, instructions, specifications and wiring schematic from foreman or team leader.
- As assigned perform set-up from blueprints and wire high or low voltage boxes from the wiring schematic.
- Install previously wired high or low voltage box to machine as required.
- As necessary, perform set-up from blueprints and install all wires, boxes and conduit in order to make machine operate electrically in conjunction with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical parts.
- Size and install conduit.
- Read and interpret micro, PLC and relay schematics.
- Proper layout of wire enclosures and all components found therein.
- Assemble wireways, junction boxes, ovens, side heaters, T/C, limit switches, sheet pull off, safety devices, etc.
- Install tags and logos with proper instruction.
- Perform all electrical installations.
- Upon completion of wiring, check machine to work order, and fill out inspection sheet and do limited testing of machines.
- Install required instruction safety and serial number plates with proper instruction.
- Be able to do repeat jobs with little instruction.
ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift, push, and pull up to 35 to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Walk for extended periods of time.
- May work in seated or standing positions for prolonged periods of time, perform sustained manual activities at low to moderate levels of exertion.
- Must be able to access and navigate within each department at the organization’s facilities (i.e. climb stairs, ladders, etc.)
