Service Tech

Job Summary: This position will have duties of cleaning, servicing, and refurbishing water coolers as well as basic understanding of coffee / tea brewing equipment.  Responsible for installing water and coffee/tea equipment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Lives and models BROWN VALUES in everything we do.
• Reads all service calls and cooler orders to ensure that all products are loaded properly on the truck.
• Checks equipment load including coolers and has a checker verify it.
• Runs route/service calls profitably and efficiently.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle.
• Maintains assigned vehicle(s).  Keeps vehicle clean and identifies maintenance/safety issues.
• Operate a hand-held computer and printer.
• Turns in all paperwork at the end of each day.
• Cleans and refurbishes water coolers for reuse in the market.
• Learn to conduct service and installation of water filtration equipment.
• Take inventory of parts room and service vehicle on a set schedule.

Physical Demands:

• Drive service vehicle, including entering and exiting the truck multiple times per day
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Standing for up to two hours at a time
• Requires walking, bending, stooping and reaching frequently

Work Environment:

• Work in many different environments:  outside, inside, break rooms, stores
• Exposed to cold, hot, and rainy conditions
• Work in distribution warehouse with limited climate controls.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.

• Valid driver’s license and approved driving record
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• HVAC certification and mechanical experience a plus
• Electrical experience required
• Proficient problem-solving skills
