As a Whiskey Production Team Member (internally known as Whiskey Experience Operations Team Member), you’ll be part of a high-performing, collaborative team that brings Old Forester’s legendary craftsmanship to life. From distilling and bottling to coopering and processing, you’ll play a hands-on role in creating high-quality products while ensuring a safe, efficient, and engaging environment. Plus, you’ll get to share the magic of whiskey-making with visitors, showcasing the authenticity and passion behind every bottle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Master the Craft: Operate equipment across distilling, bottling, coopering, and processing while monitoring fermentation and distillation processes to ensure perfection in every drop.
Be a Quality Champion: Collaborate with Quality Control to maintain top-notch standards, collect data, and participate in audits.
Safety First: Promote accident prevention, wear your PPE like a pro, and help maintain a safe and clean workspace.
Engage and Educate: Interact with guests, share the story of Old Forester, and showcase the craftsmanship that makes our whiskey world-class.
Team Player Extraordinaire: Support your teammates, adapt to changes, and contribute to a positive, inclusive work environment.
What You Bring to the Table:
At least 1 year of experience in operations or manufacturing.
A knack for teamwork and collaboration in high-performing environments.
Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to handle production supplies with precision.
Physical stamina to lift, push, pull, and move around in a production setting.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems (hello, SAP!).
A passion for engaging with people and sharing your enthusiasm for whiskey.
Bonus Points for:
Previous distilling experience (you’re already ahead of the game!).
Knowledge of TTB compliance, SAP systems, or TPM tools.
Experience with autonomous maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.
