The CCTV Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing camera systems used in specialized camera trucks for municipalities, water utilities and related industries. - Inspect and diagnose camera systems in accordance with manufacturer procedures and guidelines
- Repair or replace defective components, ensuring proper functionality of the equipment
- Test and validate camera system performance following repairs or maintenance
- Provide training, technical support, and troubleshooting assistance to Equipment Consultants and customers
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and integration of camera systems into trucks, ensuring compatibility and proper operation
- Maintain accurate records of parts used and assist in managing inventory for camera system components
- Order replacement parts as needed, following company protocol
- Collaborate with customers and Equipment Consultants to understand system needs and communicate repair progress
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, wiring and camera technology
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, soldering and other repair techniques
- Intermediate computer proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics
- Capable of handling a variable workload with minimal supervision
- Competent using Microsoft Office Software
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects/repairs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in electronics or camera equipment
- Experience working with municipal or utility vehicles
- Knowledge of software and hardware integration for camera systems
- Familiarity with sewer or pipeline inspection equipment preferred
- Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
