Job Overview:
Brown County Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary Teacher to join our faculty for the current academic year. The ideal candidate will be a spiritually grounded Christian educator who is enthusiastic about teaching, building strong relationships with students, and integrating a biblical worldview into all aspects of instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons in Math & Science subject areas.
- Create a classroom culture of respect, excellence, and Christ-like character.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
- Integrate biblical principles and Christian values into daily instruction and classroom interactions.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administration.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school functions, professional development, and spiritual enrichment opportunities.
- Integrate prayer, scripture, and Christian values into daily instruction and classroom activities. Maintain classroom management strategies that align with the school's values and expectations.
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Uphold and model the mission, vision, and values of Brown County Christian School.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian education.
- Bachelor's degree (preferred in Education or a related field).
- Teaching certification (preferred but not required).
- Previous teaching experience in a secondary setting (preferred).
- Strong classroom management skills and a heart for discipleship.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate faith into teaching in a meaningful and age-appropriate way.
- Complete provided beginning of year CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must pass a background check and meet all state and school requirements.
