Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, qualify, and secure new freight brokerage customers through outbound calls, networking, and industry research.
- Utilize CRM to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and manage client interactions.
- Identify client needs and present tailored solutions that align with their logistics needs.
- Stay current with market trends, rate fluctuations, and capacity issues in various lanes.
- Work cross-functionally with operations to ensure proper load coverage, tracking, and issue resolution.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and margin targets.
Background Profile:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proven ability to build a book of business and close new accounts.
- Working knowledge of freight types (e.g., dry van, reefer, flatbed) and logistics software (e.g., TMS, DAT, Truckstop).
- Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop long-term relationships with high-profile clients and decision-makers.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Compensation Competitive base salary with uncapped incentive compensation structure
