Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will evaluate vehicle damage, prepare accurate repair estimates, and coordinate with technicians and customers to ensure seamless repair processes. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation for top-tier auto body repair services while providing exceptional customer experiences.
Duties
- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to determine necessary repairs using industry-standard estimating software.
- Communicate clearly with customers about repair scope, costs, and timelines to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with technicians to develop efficient repair plans that meet quality standards.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates that include parts, labor, and additional services such as auto body repair, alignments, suspension work, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and transmission work.
- Upsell additional services when appropriate by demonstrating value and building trust with customers.
- Manage service writing tasks accurately while handling cash transactions professionally.
- Maintain detailed records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions to ensure smooth workflow and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Estimator or in a similar automotive repair role.
- Dealership experience or auto service management background is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Hands-on mechanic experience or automotive repair knowledge across various systems such as transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension work, tire service, diesel engines, brakes, shocks & struts is advantageous.
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
