We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as an auto body shop paint prepper. As an integral part of our renowned collision center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operations and efficient workflow of our facility.
As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in preparing and taping/masking vehicles for the painting process, ensuring the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction. Join us in creating exceptional automotive experiences for our valued collision centers across the country. Your primary responsibility will be preparing vehicle surfaces for painting and working with the paint team. Typical duties include sanding vehicles, taping and edging vehicles and cleaning cars before the paint process begins.
The paint prepper is a multifaceted role that will require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication. At Jerry's we have many prepper jobs in the body shop.
*Responsibilities of a Body Shop Paint Prepper*
- Prepare vehicles for a paint job by performing thorough sanding, masking, and priming procedures, ensuring smooth and flawless surfaces.
- Inspect vehicles to identify imperfections, scratches, or dents that require repair or attention.
- Using a process for, block sand, sandpaper grit, masking tape, etc.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and best practices related to auto body repair and painting.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure a seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
