Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to promoting water safety and swimming skills among students of all ages and abilities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct swimming lessons for individuals and groups, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment
- Maintain a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment for swimmers
- Assess students' swimming abilities and tailor lessons to meet their specific needs and goals
- Teach water safety skills and techniques to promote confidence in the water
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
- Maintain a clean and safe pool area, adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines
- Communicate effectively with students and their families regarding lesson plans and progress
Skills:
- Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swimming techniques
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
Salary:
18.00 per hour
Schedule:
Mondays & Wednesdays 4:30pm-7:00pm
Saturdays 9:30am-12:00pm

Requirements
- Previous experience as a swim instructor preferred
- Must be able to demonstrate swim instructor skills in accordance with YMCA standards
- YMCA swim instructor certification, or equivalent preferred
- At least 16 years of age
