What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at Broome County YMCA?
The YMCA of Broome County is seeking energetic candidates for our Camp Counselor positions at both our Binghamton and Johnson City locations. Candidates will need to be available for morning or afternoon shifts starting June 26, 2023.
As a camp counselor in our summer camp you will be a part of exposing children to a variety of STEM programs while also participating in sports activities with the campers.
Our camp counselors interact with our campers throughout the day, helping them make friends and try new things. The role of a camp counselor is to participate, build relationships and have fun while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child.

- Providing quality, safe and fun environment where participants can learn and play different sports.
- Creating of a motivating and enthusiastic environment for participants to become more physically active.

Requirements:- Previous experience in summer camp a plus
- Must be able to clear OCFS background checking
- Must be at least 16 years of age
