Brookwood Companies is an integrated textile company providing a wide range of technically oriented military, tactical, medical, industrial and performance fabrics all over the world. Our facility, with over 300,000 square feet, operates on continuous shifts using state-of-the art finishing equipment for dyeing, finishing, coating and printing of woven synthetic fabrics.
Join our team! We are looking to fill full-time machine operator positions in our Dye House and Coating/Finishing Departments on the following shifts:
- 1st = 7am - 3pm
- 2nd = 3pm - 11pm
- 3rd = 11pm - 7am
In addition to shift differentials of $.75/hr. on 2nd shift, and $1.00/hr. on 3rd shift, we offer a "skills ladder"... the more machines you learn, the more money you will earn!
Job Summary
Machine operators are responsible for running specialized machinery such as washers, jets, gas frames, steam frames, calendars and coaters while following processes to ensure fabrics meet customer specifications. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in Manufacturing
- Understanding of production procedures
- Basic math, ability to read and follow simple instructions
- Attention to detail and excellent eye for color
- Physical stamina and strength
- Lifting up to 50lbs
