Technology Operations Engineer II
What You’ll Contribute
The Technology Operations Engineer II supports data-driven technology operations by designing, building, and maintaining SQL-centric data pipelines and models that power operational reporting, governance, and compliance insights.
What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of reporting and analytics platforms, including Power BI datasets, dashboards, and semantic models.
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from operational systems into analytics-ready structures.
- Build and maintain relational and analytical data models (tables, views, aggregations) optimized for reporting and performance.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and timeliness by monitoring ETL jobs, validating transformations, and resolving data issues.
- Publish curated SQL datasets for downstream consumption, including exporting data from SQL to Power BI.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate reporting and governance requirements into scalable SQL logic and data structures.
- Develop and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline operational processes, automate notifications, and support compliance and governance workflows.
- Monitor data pipelines, reports, and automated processes to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and availability, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver operational metrics, delivery analytics, and governance reporting that support business and technology objectives.
- Maintain and enhance Azure DevOps (ADO) configurations, including custom fields, workflow states, and data integrations used for metrics and operational reporting.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures, data definitions, and reporting standards to ensure consistent and reliable analytics delivery.
- Assist with audit, risk, and compliance reporting by ensuring supporting data and automated controls are operating effectively.
- Provide operational support and guidance to end users, troubleshooting reporting or automation issues and coordinating resolution as needed.

What You Have
Minimum Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with SQL development, including complex queries, ETL logic, and performance tuning.
- Proven experience in data modeling (relational and reporting-focused schemas).
- Experience building and supporting data pipelines used for operational, governance, or compliance reporting.
- Working knowledge of Power BI sufficient to connect to SQL data, export datasets, and create basic visuals and DAX measures.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) data structures for metrics or operational reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to document technical solutions and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience in a technology reporting, analytics, or operations support role.
- Familiarity with IT service management concepts (e.g., incident, problem, or change management).
- Experience supporting audit, risk, or regulatory reporting through automated or data-driven solutions.
- Exposure to data governance practices, data quality management, or enterprise reporting standards.
