Project Manager/Scrum Master
12-month contract (opportunity for extension)
100% Remote
Brooksource is seeking an experienced professional who can serve a dual role as a Project Manager/Scrum Master to support our health insurance client that is undergoing a major claims modernization initiative. This individual will be responsible for guiding cross-functional teams through Agile and hybrid delivery models while managing large-scale budgets and driving best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Agile and hybrid (Agile/Waterfall/Kanban) projects focused on claims adjudication modernization.
- Serve as both Scrum Master and Project Manager, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and stakeholder meetings.
- Manage project budgets including resource hours, infrastructure/cloud costs, and vendor SOWs.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, roadmaps, and executive-level presentations.
- Provide regular status updates, including risks and issues, to senior leadership.
- Facilitate technical and business discussions across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery.

- Agile Tools: Jira, IBM RTC (Rational Team Concert), IBM RRC (Rational Requirement Composer)
- Project & Budget Management: Clarity, QuickBase, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing large-scale platform modernization or transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of claims adjudication processes in healthcare/insurance.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets, infrastructure, and cloud-related expenses.
- Skilled in Agile methodologies and hybrid delivery models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
