Brooksource is seeking to network with strategic and driven Product Owner to join our Banking client in the Columbus area. In this role, you will act as the voice of the customer and business within agile teams, managing the product backlog and working closely with stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that align with the bank’s objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both banking operations and technology delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team.
- Gather, prioritize, and clearly articulate requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent, and understood by all team members.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, testers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality features.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Make trade-off decisions based on value, risk, and stakeholder feedback.
- Monitor product performance and customer feedback to inform future enhancements.
- Ensure solutions comply with banking regulations and internal risk and security standards.
- Support go-to-market activities, including change management and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Proven experience in agile software development environments.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, systems, and compliance/regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
