OSP Project Manager
Contract
Phoenix, Arizona (Onsite)
We are seeking an OSP Project Manager to support a leading fiber optic network provider executing a major infrastructure expansion in the Arizona market. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end construction of a new fiber network, coordinating design and construction efforts, onboarding and managing contractors, and overseeing a team of field inspectors and a construction manager. You will follow projects through installation, splicing, and testing of fiber cables and ensure proper documentation turnover. This is a high-impact, highly visible role at the center of a rapidly accelerating fiber network deployment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree and/or 3–5 years of experience in a similar field preferred.
- Deep understanding of bore drilling, potholing, and fiber network construction processes in the right-of-way (ROW).
- Ability to understand and interpret fiber plant GIS maps and work within fiber mapping and OSP project management tools.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and strong team player mentality.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage end-to-end project plans for the network build, from evaluation through approval, design/engineering, permitting, construction, and installation.
- Manage the daily construction and installation of underground fiber network, working with a field team to capture install data on a daily basis.
- Ensure construction managers and inspectors are following proper protocol for logging daily production into the GIS system via tablets.
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external teams and individuals involved in the end-to-end construction process.
- Process contractor invoices in a timely manner, ensuring contractor billing aligns with production recorded in the field.
- Work with local city inspectors to ensure permits are properly managed and closed; attend preconstruction meetings with contractors and city inspectors to ensure compliance with city direction.
- Coordinate with utility companies, railroad companies, county flood control, and municipality water and sewer districts to manage locates and address unmarked utilities as needed.
- Manage a team of OSP field inspectors to ensure daily progress reporting and that project schedules are being met.
- Ensure quality installations by contractors throughout the full construction process.
- Identify roadblocks for management and proactively recommend solutions.
- Maintain organized trackers, records, and project data on a daily basis.
- Effectively forecast, track, and report out on results on a daily and weekly basis.
- Perform other duties as required to support project and organizational objectives.

Pay: $42.00 - $57.00 per hour
