Junior Operations Scheduler
Location: Denver, CO (Hybrid: Onsite 3 days/week)
Contract: 12 Month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $30-35/hr

Position Summary
The Junior Operations Scheduler supports the planning and coordination of operational work schedules to help ensure work is completed on time and in alignment with customer, safety, compliance, and operational expectations. This role assists with maintaining short- and mid-term schedules, monitoring work demand and resource availability, and partnering with internal teams to support efficient execution of field work.
This is an entry-level opportunity designed for individuals interested in operations, planning, and analytics within the energy industry. The Junior Operations Scheduler will work closely with experienced schedulers, supervisors, and coordinators to learn scheduling processes and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of multi-week work schedules for a designated region, function, or work type under the guidance of senior schedulers.
- Assist with reviewing work requests, priorities, and timelines to help ensure schedules align with operational needs and business guidelines.
- Help track personnel, equipment, and material availability to support effective work assignments for field crews.
- Monitor scheduling data and performance metrics to identify potential gaps, conflicts, or capacity constraints and escalate findings as needed.
- Support compliance by helping ensure required work is scheduled within established timeframes and assigned to the appropriate work groups.
- Collaborate with supervisors, coordinators, and other stakeholders to communicate schedule updates and support day-to-day planning needs.
- Participate in regular scheduling and coordination meetings and assist with documentation and follow-up actions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by learning and applying standard scheduling practices and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 0–1 years of experience in operations, scheduling, coordination, analytics, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze basic data and identify trends or issues.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and basic reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Willingness to learn scheduling systems, work management tools, and operational processes.
Nice to Have
- Internship or entry-level experience in utilities, construction, logistics, or operations.
- Exposure to scheduling, planning, or work management systems.
- Interest in operations planning and process improvement within a regulated industry.
