Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst
Remote Role

Our client's data and analytics team is dedicated to fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making by ensuring investments are grounded in evidence and measurable outcomes. As a Data Quality & ETL Validation Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the migration of a legacy data system from an on-premises server to the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Reporting to the Chief Evaluation Officer, you will leverage your expertise in Google Cloud Platform, data systems, and modernization projects to rigorously test migrated data, ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance meet organizational standards and business requirements. You will work closely with both the Chief Evaluation Officer and internal technology teams, supporting the resolution of identified issues and contributing to the success of enterprise data analytics initiatives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct user acceptance testing of newly migrated data systems, running queries and validating results to ensure successful migration and data integrity
- Promptly identify and communicate any issues uncovered during testing to the data and technology teams
- Monitor and support the technology team to ensure all identified issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across the enterprise data analytics platform
- Verify that all business and technical requirements are met during and after migration
- Collaborate directly with the Chief Evaluation Officer and internal technology teams throughout the migration process
- Document testing processes, results, and resolutions for ongoing reference, compliance, and continuous improvement
- Interpret and apply business rules to validate data and system functionality
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support data modernization and analytics initiatives
- Expertise in the full data lifecycle, including data discovery, collection, management, and analysis
- Experience with relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform, and BigQuery
- Extensive experience in system user acceptance testing, interpreting business requirements, and database administration
- Ability to interpret and apply business rules to ensure data and system compliance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge data science, business management, and technical development teams
- Familiarity with project management software such as Jira
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with R, Python, and Stata programming languages
- Strong situational analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to think strategically, juggle multiple priorities, and maintain attention to detail
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
- Ownership of results and a commitment to excellence
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years' experience in database management of on-premise and cloud data systems, including implementation of business requirements and best practices for user acceptance testing
- Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification or equivalent preferred
Salary : $45 - $60
