Pay Rate: $34.00 – 40.00/hr.

The IT Application Enablement team at one of our largest Fortune 200 energy generation clients is participating in Brooksource’s Elevate Program and is actively seeking an IT Financial Analyst to join its growing team. The IT Application Enablement team is seeking additional operational financial support across its IT portfolio, with a primary focus on managing baseline budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and ongoing resource and contract planning. The selected analyst will collaborate with key stakeholders and portfolio leaders to create transparency into portfolio financials and overall health and to support the planning and execution of work. Basic Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in related field.
• 1-3 years of professional or internship/co-op experience supporting financial management within IT portfolios or projects
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and basic accounting principles.
• Experience interpreting and pulling general ledger (GL) data from financial systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience leverage AI tools within MS Office.
• Knowledge of accruals, estimates, project budgets, forecasting, and month-end close.
• Understanding of contract and resource plan management.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Ability to create presentations and analytics on headcount data, financials, etc. to present to Senior Leadership team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with IT budget owners and senior leadership.
• Experience with AS9 and/or Coupa is a plus!
• Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus!
• Positive attitude, willingness and adaptability are critical soft skills for our client.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business. management; proven ability to present to and communicate with Senior and Executive Leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Support the coordination of IT portfolio budgets including both the baseline and project budgets. Coordinating the monthly close and forecast processes & related variance analysis.
• Independently present data and financial analytics to leadership.
• Proactive monitoring and tracking of IT portfolio investments to maintain enterprise-wide visibility in alignment with budget targets
• Maintain and enhance relationships with Finance, Business Units and IT partners.
• Communicate status and performance to key stakeholders on a regular and ad-hoc basis. This includes transparency via monthly status reports, gathering and publication of monthly Performance Indicators (PI’s), with supporting commentary.
• Facilitate and align IT investment planning, via monthly Project Authorization and Long-Range Planning for IT Projects; work collaboratively with IT and Business Unit Teams.
• Manage financial management process, including analysis of actual results to forecast and budget for labor/non-labor Baseline and Project Portfolios.
• Support project authorization process in various formats.
• Identify new cost optimization opportunities and risks.
• Interpret financial reporting and GL data to identify variances and validate charges.
• Assist with month-end close, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support IT managers with budget, contract, headcount, and resource planning.
• Assist with long-term financial outlooks and forecasting.
• Support contract tracking, budget accuracy, and invoice validation.
• Identify financial risks, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities across IT portfolios.
