Financial Analyst

Pay Rate: Starting at $35.00/hour
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support capital projects through all phases of planning, design, and construction. This individual will partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to provide financial oversight, cost analysis, forecasting, and project controls support. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Support multiple project managers simultaneously across projects in various stages of design and construction.
- Develop, implement, and maintain project cost reports, cash flow analyses, forecasts, and financial reporting.
- Monitor project budgets and schedules, performing variance analysis to identify risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Administer the project change control process by tracking risks, trends, and change orders.
- Perform quality reviews of project controls deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Lead recurring project controls meetings and communicate financial updates to project stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain project controls tools, templates, and reporting systems.
- Create and maintain project estimates aligned with the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Compare project schedules with financial data to ensure alignment between project timelines and budgets.
- Analyze project controls reports, present findings, and provide recommendations to project leadership.
- Track budgets against open commitments and subcontract expenditures.
- Review prime contract, purchase order, and subcontract change orders.
- Manage and reconcile data across multiple project management and financial systems.
- Serve as a resource for Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and Construction teams regarding project controls and financial questions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, project controls, cost management, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with SAP, Coupa, EcoSys, and/or Unifier is preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and macros.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
