Overview
We are hiring entry-level Electrical Utility Field Inspectors to support a Power Distribution Engineering team. In this role, you’ll conduct field inspections, collect data, and submit work orders for engineers to complete repairs or upgrades of electrical systems. No prior electrical experience is needed — we offer paid training, weekly pay, full-time hours, and long-term career growth with a well-established company.
Responsibilities
- Inspect overhead (OH) and underground (UG) electrical distribution facilities.
- Collect and document field data.
- Prepare minor work orders and maintenance reports.
- Assist with storm damage assessments.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, clients, and agencies.
- Ride along with a dedicated mentor for on-the-job training and ongoing guidance.
- Drive a company vehicle to local job sites.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license and high school diploma.
- Available to work first shift, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
- Proven history of reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail.
- 1 year of work experience in any field.
- Experience in electric utilities, power distribution, telecommunications, or construction is a plus.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Interest in learning new tools like AutoCAD, GIS mapping software, or electrical design programs.
