Overview

A leader in oil service is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Architect to join their IT Infrastructure Design Team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and deploying cloud infrastructure and services that supports a global technology environment.

This position plays a key role in architecting and governing multi-cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS, while collaborating with internal engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and cloud best practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure as code, and enterprise cloud governance, along with the ability to help modernize applications and guide teams toward cloud-native services.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures across Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Lead infrastructure design and deployment for enterprise cloud environments
• Establish and maintain cloud governance frameworks, policies, and best practices
• Partner with application teams to modernize applications and migrate workloads to cloud-native services
• Guide internal teams on best practices for running applications on cloud infrastructure
• Collaborate with IT leadership and engineering teams to support enterprise cloud strategy

Azure Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Azure network infrastructure
• Implement and maintain Azure Policy and governance controls
• Develop and manage Azure IAM roles and access strategies
• Design and deploy Azure Management Groups and subscription architecture
• Apply principles from the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework

Infrastructure as Code & DevOps

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across cloud platforms
• Implement automated deployments using Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines
• Maintain infrastructure repositories using Git-based version control
• Utilize tools including: Terraform (AWS & Azure), Azure Bicep, Azure CLI, PowerShell

Cloud Innovation & Emerging Technologies

• Support adoption of Azure AI and AI-driven platform capabilities, including Azure AI Foundry
• Contribute to initiatives focused on building AI-powered agents and automation
• Partner with enterprise IT teams to explore low-code/no-code and AI-enabled development tools
• Integrate AWS IAM with Azure Active Directory
• Help enable business units to adopt modern cloud platforms and services

Qualifications

Required

• 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure engineering, or cloud platform engineering
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation)
• Experience designing enterprise cloud governance and identity models
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security best practices

Preferred

• Experience with multi-cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
• Familiarity with Azure AI services or AI platform tooling
• Experience supporting application modernization or cloud migration initiatives
• Background working in large enterprise or global infrastructure environments
