Job Summary
Our global retail and manufacturing client, headquartered in the Tampa Bay area is searching for a Business Systems Analyst to join their growing Data & Analytics organization. In this role, you will partner closely with Data leadership and Analytics teams to translate business needs into actionable requirements and ensure delivery of high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document data and system requirements that support strategic initiatives
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for data provisioning and analytics delivery
- Support data quality efforts by validating sources, identifying data gaps, and troubleshooting inconsistencies
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analytics teams to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards
- Assist in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities within Agile teams
- Develop process flows, requirement documentation, and reporting to support decision-making and visibility
- Participate in UAT and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to promote effective communication and expectation alignment
- Support documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure solution sustainability
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role
- Strong understanding of data environments, relational databases, and analytics tools
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within cross-functional delivery teams
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL for data validation and troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within retail, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
- Familiarity with BI and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
