Details of Position
- This is a negotiated, commission based opportunity for an independent contractor.
- Possession and maintenance of your own grooming equipment is a requirement.
- You can provide services to clinic's clients and your own established customers.
- Service hours (Monday-Friday) must not exceed clinic's regular business hours.
Experience
- Proven experience in pet grooming, including dog handling and coat styling
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices for various breeds and sizes
- Background in veterinary settings such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures and pet health needs
- Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background demonstrates reliability and animal care expertise
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large animals, ensuring safety at all times
