Brooks' BBQ is looking for Line Cooks who have a passion for food, are reliable and want to join our team.
As an employee of Brooks' House of Bar-B-Q, you are joining a family and a team that has been in business since 1951. For the Line cook you will be on the team that prepares, cooks and plates all the main dishes for our customer orders. This is a great way to get your foot in the door and move up the ladder quickly.
Brooks' BBQ is a family owned and operated restaurant and carryout business where the owner and managers are all hands on to ensure the customer’s satisfaction and that the team is never left hanging.
We have full-time and part time positions, no degree is necessary, just a great attitude and love for great BBQ!
To excel in this role, you should thrives in a fast-paced working environment. Being able to work irregular hours over the week; evenings, weekends and public holidays when needed is a requirement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cooking a wide variety of menu items for dine-in and take-out customers
- Maintaining safe food practices
- Ensure proper procedures are in place and being followed for efficiency, quality, safety, and state and federal guidelines.
- Inventory management
Requirements:
- Reliable, and punctual
- Able to work on your feet for long periods
- Ability to work irregular hours (day and night shifts)
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience in the restaurant and/or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Experience as a line cook or prep cook is a huge plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated job stability at previous positions
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

In 1965, the Brooks family built the present restaurant. In 1975, Griffin and Frances sold the restaurant to their son John and his wife Joan. In 2005 John and Joan sold the restaurant to their son Ryan and his wife Beth.
Ryan and Beth are proud to be the third generation to carry on the family business.
